Job Title:             Quality Assurance Field Manager


One of Western Canada's largest and fastest growing real estate development and property management companies has expanded to Los Angeles. We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Field Manager on our Quality Assurance team.


The Quality Assurance Department's primary objective is to ensure that all final finishing details are accounted for and that the tenants experience an enjoyable and smooth transition while moving into their new home.


Job Description:


  • Oversee onsite QA Maintenance technicians to ensure deficiencies are completed
  • Place and fill all supply orders for the maintenance team
  • Issue PO's and match to packing slips to ensure orders are correct prior to invoicing
  • Hold daily onsite team meetings with maintenance techs to set schedule and guidelines for tasks
  • Ensure paint, drywall, caulking and all finishing aspects of the home are of the highest quality
  • Make sure that all functions of the home are tested and ready to be used, appliances, heat pumps, booster fans etc.
  • Provide weekly status updates and reports directly to the VP of Quality Assurance
  • Make sure all schedules for completion and turnover of apartments are met
  • Work in conjunction with the Construction department to ensure new homes are move in ready
  • Uphold Onni Quality standards and provide sub-contractors with feedback on typical deficiencies found
  • Coordinate sub-contractors to complete defects and repairs throughout the project
  • Ensure sub-contractor deficiency work is being completed as efficiently as possible
  • Attend weekly on-site construction meetings to review sub-contractor work and schedules
  • Monitor all hours for hourly employees to ensure time used effectively
  • Document and collect all attic stock from sub-contractors as per contract


Summary of Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of Construction Experience
  • It is essential that the candidate be able to perform repairs to drywall, caulking, paint, finishing carpentry, etc Hands on work may be required.
  • Oversee a team onsite to ensure move in dates and quality targets are met
  • A good understanding of construction and processes is important as you will work closely with the construction department and various trades onsite
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, has strong initiative and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents.
  • Use of Microsoft word, excel and Outlook email is required
  • Also has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Provide own tools. Company will provide materials only
  • Must be personable and reliable
