With already existing hospitality properties in Vancouver, Downtown Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago, the Onni Group is aggressively advancing its plans to expand into other key North American cities, including projects already under construction, with a view to providing full coverage of all major metropolitan cities throughout the continent.


The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the new hospitality property launching in Vancouver. The General Manager will be responsible for all facets of the operations of the property, ensuring the highest possible occupancy in maintained, while maintaining a first-class operation with excellence and driving a high standard of customer experience.  As the primary business leader, you will assume all responsibility for the operations of the property, which includes guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, as well as creating, executing and updating policies and produces as required. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility responsible for all departments – Operations, Financial, Sales, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance.
  • Work with all Head of Departments in all aspects of running the hospitality property
  • Develop, implement and monitor team member succession planning to ensure future bench strength
  • Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to enhance performance
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and hotel assets in compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Exercise maximum attention to details relating to all aspects of the business and property
  • Prepare annual capital, operating and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets and achieve required operating results
  • Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment
  • Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals. Collaborate with colleagues and hotel team members to establish and implement services and programs that meet or exceed guest expectations
  • Seamlessly operate and administer the property management system as well as its surrounding equipment and interfaces


Summary of Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Multi-Property operations responsibility and experience required. Five Star experience is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management or related Business degree.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Well-developed capacity for strategic decision-making and a track record of proven results within: guest and employee satisfaction, operational excellence and revenues and profit
  • Must know and understand various industry metrics that drive performance.
  • Experience analyzing trend data and adjust strategy and tactics accordingly to meet and exceed Financial & Operating goals.
  • Drive operational and financial results while being challenged with economic, social, human and weather opportunities.
  • Need to anticipate opportunities through trend analysis, competitive environment, and experience with significant financial and operational risk.
