Onni Group, one of Western Canada’s largest and fast growing real estate development and property management companies is currently seeking a talented professional to join their Customer Care Department as a Customer Care Team Leader.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong initiative and an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents; and has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.

The primary objective of this position to oversee and manage a team of Customer Care personnel to complete the finishing touches on newly constructed condominium homes prior to homeowner occupancy. 

 

Job Description / Overall Responsibilities:

 

  • Work in conjunction with the Construction Department, Contractors and Customer Care staff to ensure homes are delivered to homeowners free of deficiencies
  • Manage the Customer Care Deficiency Team to ensure units are ready for homeowner inspections and move-ins
  • Manage the Customer Care Homeowner Walkthrough staff to ensure all the necessary walkthroughs/inspections are completed on deadline dates set by the Customer Care Manager
  • Perform Walkthrough Inspections with homeowners prior to possession of their new homes
  • Ensure all Homeowner Walkthrough deficiencies are completed & signed off in advance of homeowners taking possession of their new homes
  • Communicate with the Customer Care Manager on a daily basis regarding any concerns with Onni staff, contractors and homeowners that may arise prior to homeowner occupancy
  • Must complete Quality Control Checklists and document/list all concerns with photos and submit to Customer Care Manager for review/action
  • Discuss any additional work “extras” with the Customer Care Manager before issuing any work orders for “extras” to contractors and suppliers

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years construction experience including a skill set to perform repairs to drywall, caulking, paint, finishing carpentry etc.
  • An excellent understanding of wood frame and concrete construction, as well as building envelope and National Home Warranty 2-5-10 year warranty insurance
  • Must have an good understanding of the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines per the Home Owner Protection Office
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including but not limited to; Customer Care personal, contractors, colleagues in other departments and most importantly homeowners
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines though analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Provide own tools.  Company will provide materials and sundries only
